About This Expedition
Welcome! This page tracks Ted and Cassondra's journey up Denali (20,310 ft / 6,190 m), the highest peak in North America! They are tackling the mountain between May 9th and May 28th, 2025.
They are part of a six-person team braving the extreme cold, high altitude, and challenging conditions of the West Buttress route.
Reaching the summit is a major goal, especially for Ted. Denali represents the final peak in his monumental quest to climb the highest point in every single US state! What an achievement! 🏔️🎉
Cassondra, ever wonderful and supportive (and strong!), is right there with him, sharing this incredible and demanding adventure.
The updates you see here are sent via a Garmin inReach satellite device, beamed directly from the slopes of Denali to this website (with a little bit of internet magic and hopefully not too many frozen batteries!).
